The First of Many

Since Jay has to go back to school on Saturday morning and so he was unable to come to Luke's birthday party. So we had our own little party before he left. Grammy, Poppy and Uncle Jay took Luke and Grant to their Ward Halloween Party and afterwards we met at Grammy's house to celebrate Luke's birthday.

I was showing Luke a Jack o' lantern cake that I could make him and he saw the cupcakes that are baked in the ice cream cones. He was quite adamant that these were the cupcakes he wanted. They didn't turn out the way I wanted but he didn't seem to care. At least they tasted okay.


Transporting the cupcakes was a little difficult and part of the frosting came off.
But Luke looks happy.



Of course Luke absolutely loves opening presents and so the highlight of his night is when he opened his presents from everyone. Grammy gave him a new coat and a cowboy hat to go with his new cowboy boots.
