In our unending quest to do every Halloween activity possible, the boys an I went to Murray library to attend the "Halloween Howls" party. Scary stories, spooky treats and ghoulish crafts were fun for Luke and, as always, Grant was content just to watch.
The boys were cute as ever and Grant received either the best or worst compliment ever, depending on who you ask. A lady asked if he was a boy or girl. "A boy", I replied. "He's so cute, he could be a girl!" was her response. Um, thanks. I guess.

Mr. Mom
Dustin is now the person who stays home with the kids during the day while I work (because I have the insurance). He has completely embraced his duties as a stay at home dad and this is what Lucas had for lunch today. Dustin had seen this on some website and had to try it out. They have so much fun together - just the boys!

British Field Day
A definite must do every summer is attend British Field Days. Dustin loves to drive his mini down to Liberty Park and enter the car show. Dustin has a 1970 Mini Cooper. It's a ton of fun to drive around in and freak people out because the steering wheel is actually on the right side of the car.
Lucas LOVES his dad so much that he wants to do everything with him. So of course he went to the car show with Dustin. They had fun hanging out and looking at cars. Grant and I came down later and we brought a picnic lunch with us. Liberty Park is one of Luke's favorite parks to go to.
Some of the cool cars from the show.

Happy Birthday Dustin!
| Instead of a cake, Dustin wanted eclairs. |
Dustin turned 35 this year. To celebrate, we invited family over to have eclairs and ice cream with us.
| Marlene and Judy |
For his birthday he received:
the cool green shirt he's wearing from Lucas
tennis shoes from Grammy and Poppy
dress black shoes from Jay and Joe
Itunes gift card from his mom
Itunes gift card from Seth and Jess
and from me he got an AWESOME recliner that was a combo birthday/father's day gift.
Of course Lucas helped him with everything - opening his presents and blowing out his candles. Lucky for Dustin that he has Lucas!

Chef Dustin!

I have been having a hard time keeping up with all the things I use to do because I have been so tired, especially when I get home from work. Dustin has been great to step up and so he takes a couple days in the week to make dinner and do the dishes.
Wednesday night is his night and tonight he made Salisbury Steaks with a Savory Sauce. It was so delicious, he did such a great job. He did make a comment on how long it took him to make it because he's not used to making such nice meals but I was very impressed. This was completely made by him, he even formed the steaks himself (and he even did the grocery shopping for all the ingredients!). Way to go Dustin!
