When we took Grant to the pediatrician, he told us that Grant has torticollis. Grant pretty much always has his head turned in one direction and is always leaning to his left. So we have started physical therapy. Basically we go the their office and they stretch his neck out. On our first visit, she measured his range of motion and even measured his head. His head is starting to become flat in the back and because of that, his forehead bulges in the front on the right side. It's not noticeable yet but it can become worse over time. We have appointments every week so we can help Grant stretch out those neck muscles and get stronger.

Brotherly Fun
Lucas loves his truck. Since he is not allowed in the front yard by himself, he has to talk someone into going outside with him to ride. He and Dustin had been in the front yard when they went across the street to see something. I came out the front door with Grant and his truck was just sitting there. So Grant sat in the front seat. Of course when Lucas saw Grant in his truck, he had to get in too. But they didn't go anywhere, Grant isn't quite ready for that yet!

Six Years of Love
Dustin and I have been married for six AWESOME years. To celebrate, we had dinner at The Roof.
The buffet was great. Of course they had Prime Rib but we also tried Honey Baked Ham, Baked Cod, Salmon, Flank Steak with a Blue Cheese Dressing, and Marinated Duck with a Orange-Ginger Sauce (which was surprisingly good).
Of course we had dessert! We each pick a couple that look good and share them. I usually end up taking one or two bites and then move on to the next. Our favorite dessert is always the Creme Brulee and they also have a chocolate Creme Brulee that is just as good.

UPAA Conference
I am very spoiled! Each year, usually around the end of May or June, the Utah Prosecutorial Assistant's Association hosts a conference specifically for the support staff of prosecutors. I usually ask to go because they are awesome conferences. I didn't go one year and I was very sad when I heard about the awesome presentations they had - I mean who wouldn't want to hear about the prosecution of polygamists?
The conference was being held in Logan and I asked Dustin if he would be willing to come with me and take care of Grant while I was in the conference. He was a little unsure at first but it turned out to be A LOT of fun. (At least I thought so.) Our first night we went to the Beehive Grill for dinner, we heard good things about their menu. And they make their own root beer. I love root beer!
The second night, the night of our sixth anniversary!, we went to an Indian curry restaurant and IT WAS SO GOOD!! Look at the size of their naan bread. I mean seriously, we had to roll ourselves out of there. I love Chicken Korma so of course I ordered it. This seriously rivaled the Masala by Greg's house in Seattle that we went to TWICE!
We came back to the hotel and watched a movie and vegged. It was awesome to get through an entire movie without having to pause it once or have someone talking throughout the movie.
Unfortunately I discovered later that Grant DOES NOT like curry and would not nurse later that night. I guess it will be a while before we have curry again.
Our hotel room was pretty nice and lucky for us, Grant is a great sleeper. Just keep the room dark and both Dustin and Grant will sleep the morning away. Plus there was a really good breakfast provided - I love waffles. The presentations planned were really good. Here is a K-9 dog that the Logan PD brought to show us and demonstrate their awesome skills. Dustin sneaked in to see some of this presentation when they took everyone outside to watch the dogs do their stuff. The officers will put on some protective gear and have the dogs practice attacking. You see full sized grown men who are pushed around by the force of these dogs. One woman actually volunteered to be the person the dogs were trying to catch. A little scary when you see this small woman standing there when a dog starts running towards her full steam ahead!
The last presentation was from a military officer that has spent some time in Iraq and Afghanistan. He brought the clothes he has from that culture and shared his experiences. His presentation was mainly on Domestic Violence in the Military but that was only a small portion of his presentation. He did a slide show about the women and children from those countries and how they do not have any freedom at all. A lot of us were in tears by the time he was through. We really are truly blessed to live in the U.S. and we have so many opportunities that women in other countries do NOT have. It really made me appreciate the things I do have. One story that really touched me was when he showed a picture of a man who is actually part of the military in wither Iraq or Afghanistan. Because he does not share the beliefs of the Muslims in his country, he is continually persecuted. He actually had to watch as his daughter was killed in front of him while he watched. But through all of this, he still stands firm to his beliefs and is still a happy person, not one who continually focuses on that bad. What an example. Instead of focusing on the negative and difficult things in our lives, we need to appreciate the things we do have and the freedom we have. He was also a great example of standing firm in our beliefs. I hope that I will never be in a situation like that but hopefully I can stand firm in my own beliefs.
The speaker also had a burqa that muslim women wear. He passed it around for others to se what its like but I couldn't resist putting it on. It was so stuffy and I couldn't wait to get it off. I don't know how anyone could stand wearing that for long periods of time - especially in the heat. How thankful I am to be an American and have the freedom to wear what I want.

Thanksgiving Point play-date
Lucas and I have joined a play group from Grammy's ward. They have a different activity planned each week and this week it was the Barn at Thanksgiving Point. Lucas had a blast and Grant slept through the entire trip. Grammy and Poppy came with us.
Lucas loved looking at every animal. He would stop at each one and yell, "Look Grammy Look!" Or, "Touch it Grammy, touch it!" Needless to say, Grammy did NOT touch any animals but she did look. Lucas loves his Grammy.
They have many different displays and Lucas loves playing in play houses.
FHE S'mores
We had Family Home Evening with Grammy, Poppy, Jay and Joe. Our lesson was on The 2,000 Stripling Warriors and obedience. It might have been a little over Lucas' head but it was a good lesson for everyone else. Poppy and Uncle Jay jumped in and tried to help Lucas understand the lesson. The point I was trying to get across is that if we will do what we are supposed to and have faith, then the Lord will protect us. He loves us and has a plan for us. All he asks that we do a few simple things in return for everything he has provided us.
I was very impressed with Uncle Jay and the scriptures he quoted and his comments he added to the discussion. I can tell he truly studies and ponders the gospel. What a great example he is to all of us. I'm glad he is part of our family - he is a great brother.

Father's Day
Father and Son in matching ties.
Lucky Dustin received a new recliner for Father's Day. Lucas loves to sit with Dustin in it so he doesn't have too many chances to relax in it.

Wheeler Farm with Grandma B.
Grandma B. called and invited us all to Wheeler Farm for a picnic. Lucas was very excited because he loves going to the "farm". He especially loves feeding the ducks so we stopped to get some bread, lots of it so we could share with Andrew and Tyson. Unfortunately the ducks weren't very hungry because they hardly ate any of the bread. There was a ton of bread just floating around in the pond (it was kind of gross looking).
Of course we went on a wagon ride!
And the highlight of any trip to the farm, seeing the animals and trying to pet them. Each of the boys were trying their hardest to reach through the gate to pet the cow.
Lucas loves the tree house at Wheeler Farm, in fact it was one of the first things he wanted to do. Luckily his cousins are pretty easy going and they played with Lucas in the tree house. They were pretty cute playing together!
Earlier that morning this cow gave birth to the little calf we saw. It was very cute, walking around, exploring its new home.
The boys were really interested in the little irrigation ditch we passed on our way to the car - what boy doesn't like playing in water! The boys were exploring around the ditch and trying to jump over them. Luckily Dustin was there to "help" them stay safe.
